Missouri - HMIS YHDP Coordinator

Job Title: HMIS Project Coordinator – YHDP Reports to: HMIS Manager

Job Class: HMIS Administration

Status: Full Time, Exempt Location: Missouri

POSITION SUMMARY

The Institute for Community Alliances (ICA) is a nonprofit organization and a recognized leader in the administration of Homeless Management Information Systems (HMIS). Since 2014, ICA has managed Missouri's HMIS, a web-based database utilized by over 140 organizations across the six Continuums of Care (CoC) to gather data on households experiencing or at risk of homelessness. HMIS plays a crucial role in reporting to funders, evaluating and informing community and state-wide responses to homelessness, connecting individuals experiencing homelessness with housing and services, and supporting research and advocacy initiatives.

This role is focused on enhancing youth homeless services within the Balance of State Continuum of Care, specifically through the coordinated community initiative known as the Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program (YHDP), which builds upon existing successful community efforts.

This position will lead projects and foster connections at the systems level, acting as a decision-maker, convener, facilitator, and advocate to drive progress. They will provide support and training to organizations serving youth, promoting the use of HMIS in a collaborative and system-wide approach. Additionally, they will explore ways to leverage HMIS as an effective tool for serving youth, assisting agencies, the Balance of State CoC, and the Youth Action Board (YAB) leadership in defining success, establishing, and measuring outcomes while ensuring adherence to federal guidelines.

Reporting to the HMIS Manager and collaborating with other ICA team members, the YHDP Project Coordinator will engage with both internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the successful implementation of the YHDP project within HMIS. This position will also provide project-based technical support to YHDP service agencies and HMIS database end users, serving as the HMIS YHDP Liaison within the CoC.

This position is a remote position – but does require Missouri Residency.

To Be Considered: A cover letter and resume must be submitted no later than May 2nd.
