Greta has been with Waypoint for six years. She has a pet bunny. Her hobbies include crocheting and reading.

PIT/HIC Winter Presentation Webinars

The 2025 PIT/HIC data submission deadline has passed (June 13th), and the information has already been shared at the board meetings for both the Iowa Balance of State CoC and the Homeward/Polk CoC. It will also be presented at additional community and committee meetings in the coming weeks.

To ensure broader access, the Iowa HMIS team is offering live presentations of the PIT/HIC data for those who were unable to attend previous meetings. These sessions will be recorded, with separate presentations available for each CoC.

Summer Point-in-Time Count for Balance of State

As a reminder, the Summer Point-in-Time Count for Balance of State is coming up on the night of July 30th, 2025. The summer count is not mandatory, but is a good way for providers/regions to practice protocol for the winter count, and if completed is a good look at how homelessness in Iowa differs in the warmer months. The Summer Count is only the unsheltered/street count, and does not take into account the project-level information like bed count or the number of people in projects, etc. All of the resources will be available on the ICA's website at: Iowa Point in Time Institute for Community Alliances . The survey links can be found under "Summer PIT Trainings/Surveys" , and there are some great videos under the "Additional Resources" section.
